Copy the post's link, paste it above and press Download.

Why is my GIF an MP4?

X stores GIFs as short videos. MP4 keeps them small and sharp, and every phone and computer can play it.

Can I download videos marked as sensitive?

Sign in and connect your own X account; then those posts work too.

Is it free?

Yes. Social Downloader is free to use, with no sign-up, no ads and no download limit per day beyond a fair-use limit of two downloads at the same time.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. It works in any modern browser on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac and Linux. On Android you can also install it and share links to it straight from other apps.
